FOUNDER AND CEO

Vaso Stojackovic

Vaso Stojackovic’s passion for electrical, electronic, and communications technology has led him through a broad and impactful career. Starting with formal studies in these fields, he soon found himself at the forefront of significant projects first upgrading the NSW Police Service’s analog radio network to a cutting-edge digital system, then conducting advanced 3G air interface research and develt at Nortel Networks.

Building on these experiences, Vaso launched a startup leveraging CCTV and ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) technology to monitor vehicle movements in off-street car parks. In 2010, he introduced the world’s first ticketless parking system for Lane Cove Council, revolutionizing the industry by replacing paper tickets with automated ANPR-driven solutions. This pioneering approach was rapidly adopted by clients such as Wesley Private Hospital, North Sydney Council, and numerous shopping centers, helping them reduce operating costs (often by up to 30%), streamline discount and validation processes, and improve overall traffic flow.

Amid this rapid growth, Vaso brought on external investors to scale the business further. However, strategic differences at the board level led to an eventual parting of ways a turning point that motivated him to simplify technology infrastructure even more. Recognizing the transformative potential of AI-driven ANPR and best-practice cloud computing, he developed a next-generation platform eliminating on-site servers and proprietary hardware. With this approach, deployments became faster, overhead costs dropped, and single points of failure were removed.

Vaso’s latest venture, Zmaj System, harnesses IoT to tie the virtual world to the physical realm, creating a scalable solution that works for both off-street and on-street parking. It’s also ready for the future of autonomous vehicles and seamlessly integrates with an array of smart city sensors and applications. By embracing AI, IoT, and cloud innovations, Vaso continues to push boundaries and deliver cutting-edge solutions that set new standards for efficiency, adaptability, and impact.

Dr. Laurence Bate is a distinguished leader in rail systems and transportation, currently spearheading the development of iNNOT—the world’s first Cloud IoT parking management solution.

He has contributed to major infrastructure projects including the Melbourne Suburban Rail Loop and expansions of the Sydney Metro. With a strong background in rail telecommunications and systems integration, Laurence has collaborated with top organizations like Alstom and BHP. Holding NV1 Defence Clearance and a NSW Master Security Licence, he excels at managing complex projects and global collaborations. Outside of work, he pursues adventurous expeditions, reflecting the same trailblazing spirit he brings to every professional endeavor.
